Women’s Heels meet Men’s feet

Sabrina's Barbie Heels

Heels are a staple of a crossdressers’ wardrobe, and for good reason.

They can elongate your legs, make your curves look more pronounced, and give you a boost of confidence.

The problem is there are so many different types of heels available, it can be tough to know where to start, especially if you’re new to crossdressing.

Here is a guide to help you choose the perfect heels for your needs:

1. Consider your budget. Heels can range in price from a few dollars to a few hundred or even thousands of dollars, so it’s important to set a budget before you start shopping.

If you’re on a conservative budget, check out the following resources: (if not, then go crazy!)

  • a. Onlymaker.com – Offering a great assortment of sizes priced from $$ to $$$$
  • b. Temu – Offering inexpensive heels but you really need to know your size and always take the time to review the size chart, priced from $ to $$ and the more you shop the better the discounts become.
  • c. Amazon – Of Course you heard of them
  • d. Wish – Offering inexpensive heels but you really need to know your size and always take the time to review the size chart.
  • e. DSW – Offering inexpensive heels but you really need to know your size and always take the time to review the size chart. A quick tip is to go to the store and look at the clearance racks for your size and try them before you buy. Once you do it you will be hooked. Bring a pair nylon socks or do what I do and wear them under your boy socks so its quick and easy to try those cute shoes.
  • f. Thrift stores or online retailers like eBay
  • If your looking for sexy and cool heels that are one of a kind shoes then head over to ninety union shoes priced from $$$ to $$$$
  • If you’re willing to spend more money, you can find high-quality heels at department stores or specialty retailers.

2. Choose the right size and style. When choosing heels, it’s important to make sure they fit well. If you’re not sure what size to get, it’s best to measure your feet with a tape measure

Here are the steps on how to measure your feet for women’s shoes:

  • Gather your materials. You will need a ruler, a piece of paper, and a pen or pencil.
  • Measure the length of your foot. Stand on a hard surface with your heel against a wall. Use a ruler to measure the distance from the tip of your longest toe to the back of your heel. Write this measurement down.
  • Measure the width of your foot. Place your foot on the ruler and measure the distance across the widest part of your foot. This is usually the ball of your foot. Write this measurement down.
  • Compare your measurements to a shoe size chart. Shoe size charts vary from brand to brand, so it is important to use the specific chart for the brand you are interested in. Most shoe size charts will list the length and width of the foot in inches or centimeters. To convert inches to centimeters remember 1 inch = 2.54 cm so a men’s 10.5 is equal to 26.67 cm. I have found the women’s shoes I buy fit well when I take the time to read the sizing chart and if they don’t offer a sizing chart then I wont purchase from them. Voila!
  • Choose the shoe size that is closest to your measurements. If your measurements fall between two sizes, it is usually best to choose the larger size.
  • Try on the shoes to make sure they fit. It is always best to try on shoes before you buy them to make sure they fit properly. Your feet may swell throughout the day, so it is best to try on shoes in the afternoon or evening. As you can see, women’s shoe sizes are typically 1.5 sizes smaller than men’s shoe sizes. obviously because women’s feet are generally narrower and smaller than men’s feet. There are exceptions though, my female BFF is the same size shoe as me.

Here are some additional tips for converting women’s shoe sizes to men’s shoe sizes:

  • Open toe shoes are more forgiving than closed toe shoes and generally will fit better.
  • Closed toe shoes, most of the time, will need to be 1.5 to 2 women’s size larger or more than your men’s shoes size.
    • If you are between sizes, it is usually best to choose the larger size.
  • If you have wide feet, you may need to choose a women’s shoe size that is offered in wide and in a larger size.
  • If you have narrow feet, you may need to choose a women’s shoe size offered in narrow and or smaller than your men’s shoe size.
  • If you have flat feet, look for heels with arch support.
  • If you’re new to wearing heels, start with a lower heel height and gradually work your way up to higher heels.
  • Practice walking in heels on a hard surface before you wear them to an event.
    • Bring a backup pair of shoes with you in case your heels become uncomfortable. I love the silky toes brand of roll up flats.

As for style, there are endless options to choose from, including pumps, stilettos, sandals, wedges and boots. Consider the occasion you’ll be wearing the heels for when making your decision.

3. Consider the heel height. Heels come in a variety of heel heights, from flats to platforms. If you’re not used to wearing heels, start with a lower heel height and gradually work your way up to higher heels. Higher heels can be more difficult to walk in, but they can also be more flattering to your figure.

4. Consider the material. Heels are made from a variety of materials, including leather, suede, and patent leather. Leather heels are the most durable and easy to care for, but they can also be the most expensive. Suede and patent leather heels are more delicate, but they can be very stylish.

5. Try them on before you buy them. It’s important to try on heels before you buy them to make sure they fit well and that they’re comfortable to walk in. Always confirm the return policy before ordering your shoes.

I have donated a few pair of shoes to the clothing drop boxes around town which is great for the needy but hard on your ban account.

Walk around in the heels at the store for a few minutes to make sure they’re not too tight or too loose.

Enjoy! Hope this helps..
