Peel Off Nail Polish: Applying and Removing

As a crossdresser you will undoubtedly want to have your nails done like a proper woman. The struggle to remove them after a few hours is difficult UNTIL NOW!

  1. Peel off, nontoxic, nail polish is an amazing alternative to glue on nails, Kiss or impress press on nails or using nail stickers.
  2. Applying:
  3. Clean and prep your nails: Wash your hands with soap and water. If you are using regular nail polish then use nail polish remover to remove any existing nail polish or oils. This will help the peel-off nail polish adhere better. I use an alcohol pad to clean my nails and remove any residue that you just can’t see.
  4. Tip from Sabrina: Keep in mind that water will remove this polish if it is not cured completely so wait at least 15 – 30 minutes before washing your hands. After it cured you can get them wet you just don’t want to have your nails submerged in water for extended periods of time with this polish. If swimming I would opt for Press on Nails by impress or Kiss.
  5. Apply a Clear base coat: Always use a clear base coat of peel off nail polish to protect your nails and make the peel off process that much easier.
  6. Apply two thin coats of peel-off nail polish: Using the brush in the cap lid apply even strokes. Wait for each coat to dry completely before applying the next. I use a hair dryer on the low setting to dry my nails quickly. The peel off nail polish will dry within 10-15 seconds that way. Caution must be taken because it is not completely cured and could smudge if the nail comes into contact with something.
  7. Apply a topcoat: To extend the wear of your polish and make it easier to peel off apply a peel off topcoat. Most of the sets that I purchase have the topcoat included.
  8. Removing:

  10. Start at the edges: Gently push a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick under the edge of the peel off polish. I use my nails to get it started most of the time. If you have used a thin coat of polish, it may be difficult to peel it from the side of the nail.
  11. Peel slowly and carefully: Continue peeling the polish away from your nail bed using care so you don’t damage your nails.
  12. Tip from Sabrina: I usually will wait until the morning to remove my peel off polish in the shower. Using the shower water just makes it so much easier to remove the peel off polish.
  13. Wash your hands and nails with soap and water to remove any residue.

Tips:

  • Use warm water: Soaking your hands in warm water for a few minutes before peeling can help loosen the polish and make it easier to remove.
  • Moisturize your nails: After removing the polish, apply a little cuticle oil or hand lotion to help keep your nails healthy and hydrated.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals: Do not use acetone or other harsh chemicals to remove peel-off nail polish. These chemicals can damage your nails and make them brittle.
  • Don’t pick at your polish: If you find the polish starting to chip or peel, don’t pick at it. This can cause further damage to your nails. Instead, gently peel it off as described above.
  • Peel-off nail polishes are generally safe to use on both natural and artificial nails.
  • However, it is always recommended to do a patch test before applying any new nail product to your entire hand.
  • If you experience any irritation or discomfort, discontinue use immediately.

Creative alternatives:

  • Try using different colors on the same nail to create unique designs and you can add a glitter topcoat or embellishments to create a fun and festive look.

Remember, the key to using peel-off nail polish is to be patient and gentle.

With a little practice, you will enjoy beautiful nails.
