Is it a lie or are you protecting your authentic self?

Be Your Authentic self

Hiding the fact that you are a crossdresser can be a difficult and stressful experience. It is important to remember that you are not alone, and there are many people who understand and accept you for who you are. Many people endure the very same struggle on a daily basis.

Here are a few tips for hiding your crossdressing:

  • Be selective about who you tell. Choose to share this part of your identity with people you trust and who are supportive of you. It took me several years to reach the point of dressing in women’s clothes other than panties and nylons.
  • Be careful about what you wear in public. If you are not comfortable being openly crossdressed, choose outfits that can conceal the feminine clothes with regular clothes for your gender.
  • Be mindful of your makeup and accessories. Use subtle makeup when going out and avoid overly feminine accessories to blend in more easily. Feather boas in hot pink are so cute however to go to the grocery store it can be a bit much. You can wear the boa to your favorite LGBTQ establishment.
  • Be prepared to explain any feminine items in your possession. Have a plausible explanation ready for any questions or comments about feminine items you own, such as clothes or accessories.
  • Consider renting a storage unit or locker to keep your crossdressing clothes and belongings. This can provide a more secure and private storage option. Many storage facilities in the United States offer units for less than 50 dollars per month. It is well worth the investment. They are usually open from 6:30AM untill 10 PM which is perfect to pop in and dress before and after your event. I will cover this in another post to offer guidance to using storage lockers.

It is also important to remember that you should not feel pressured to hide your crossdressing if you don’t want to. If you are comfortable being openly crossdressed, you should do what makes you happy. There are many communities and resources available for crossdressers, and you can find support and acceptance from others who share your experience.

Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to hide your crossdressing is up to you. There is no right or wrong answer. The most important thing is to do what makes you feel most comfortable and authentic.
